architecture residential turnstone cove residence III construction
Yachats, Oregon, USA - 1982

Twenty eight years after the first Turnstone Cove was designed and built, there was another major remodel adding on to the existing house and tying it into the Garage.
Both the Greatroom and the Master Bedroom were expanded four feet, a new Master Bath was built, the Kitchen was expanded, a new circular stair was added, and the Loft areas were expanded and remodeled.
Hands-on construction experience was acquired doing all facets of home construction except for the foundation and the plumbing with were subbed out.
Some of these skills were decking, demolition, drywall, electrical, finish carpentry, flooring, insulation, masonry, painting & staining, foofing, siding, site work & landscaping, tile, and windows and doors.
Since the boys had moved on to college, they came home to help with some of the heavy work along with Luke Walters, then Lynn and I did most of the rest of the work alone.
